Beautiful little lake. Great hiking and mtn biking to the top of Round Mountain from the campground. Campground hosts are very nice and keep the campground in excellent shape. Loved our stay!

The campsite was clean and ready for us. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The campground host was available to us. As usual it was very satisfying to stay in a very well organized campground.

two years consecutively at Walton Lake primarily to hike Lookout and Round mountains. The northern loop (tents) is quiet and wonderful. Facilities are well kept as well. two recommendations: 1) no generators on north loop - keep it quiet!; 2) north loop needs defined trails from car to 'site' without a facility defined path, campers create their own (more than 1).

The small site is amazing! It doesn't feel small at all. We had an RV, a camping van, and a couple of tents and we had so much more room for more. The small site is super close to the water, you can see it from the campfire pit and even watch fish jumping at dinnertime through the trees. The walk to the water/day use was only a few minutes and the path there is pretty accessible. The spot accommodated our group very well and we loved being more secluded since there aren't any nearby campsites. The campsite is the last site on the loop so there were very few cars that drove by the entire time we camped there. We loved the spot so much that we are coming back this next summer for another trip!

We enjoyed staying at the Watkins Lake campground. The grounds are well-maintained and the facilities were very clean. We rode in from Hwy 26 on adventure motorcycles and the gravel roads coming in were in good condition and scenic.
