Walton lake is an outstanding place to visit with one exception, the federal section of the campground does not have any additional water or grey water dumps after you clean your daily’ catch. A fish cleaning station would be an outstanding adition to the campground

We spent two nights at Walton Lake just before the Labor Day rush so it was quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed fishing, hiking and the nice weather.

We usually go to Walton Lake every summer. Always enojiyable. This summer the bathrooms neary ran oit of toilet paper on one of the days the camp hosts had off - one bathroom had part of one roll thanks to either a kind camper or a day use visitor. Bless them! On both Sunday afternoon/evenings we were there, all of the garbage cans were moved out of the campsite and day use areas and placed near the hosts' campsite for pick up by the sanitation company on Monday. Not the worse thing, but a real inconvience to have to carry trash bags the extra distance. Can't (won't) the sanitation truck drive thru the campground and pick up the cans like happens at most all other campgrounds?

Walton Lake never disappoints. It is a wonderful place to camp. Large sites. Host does a great job maintaining the campground.

Beautiful little lake and campground. Only a few campsites were occupied on Sunday evening, 8/22. Weather was perfect; no smoke.
