Great camp host. We couldn’t even get into our reserved space.
It was a good thing another space was available for us to transfer to. Having enough parking space was hard. This is a Atv park
So by the time you try to squeeze in your Atv, trailer and truck
Into these narrow sites is very hard. We did have fun riding the sand.

New camp host does not know how to host. The old camp host Carter and his wife Donna are sorely missed. They kept the bathrooms and showers clean, cleaned the firepits and welcomed each visitor with open arms. Even helped each person back into their spot and was more than helpful at doing so. This trip since they have been gone the bathrooms were nasty, and stunk, sand, pee, and beer cans were on the floor and sink. Toilets in the men's bathroom were nasty with poo streaks everywhere. Firepits had cigarette butts all over in them, and the new camp host did not welcome guests or help them get situated. It was like a totally different experience. We may be back eventually, but for now may be staying at a different camp!

The hosts at the campground were fantastic and did everything in their power to keep the grounds clean and bathroom\showers functioning. The problem is the Forest Service seems like they could care less about keeping the bathrooms and showers working. We stayed for a week and a half and there was never a single time all the toilets and showers functioned. The last 6 days we couldn't shower at all because the shower token machine was broken and despite multiple Forest Service maintenance personal showing up it was "not their responsibility" to fix. The campground is overpriced for non-functioning bathroom\shower facilities and when they are the showers are working they can only be used from 6AM-10AM and 6PM-10PM. There's better campground options for the southern dunes with operators that care.
