Worst experience ever camping anywhere. Host and host boss were both extremely rude. Won't ever come back unless they are gone.

The camping site didn't have proper accessories, the location was non-conducive to camping. The showers were low flow and not so clean, there was no electrical port and signage was all over the place. I am hoping there are better camp sites out there. If you only care about riding the dunes, this is ok place.

They didn’t open the shower. Someone cancel two of my spots mid week and I had to rebook. There was no camp host so people had fired even though there was a band. People camped for free in open spots.

WHAT A DISASTER! This campground is an asphalt parking lot that is intended solely for OHV and ATV riders who run their vehicles with no mufflers from 6:00 am to midnight on the adjoining sand dunes. In addition, most campers had large, noisy generators running from early morning to well after “quiet time” at 10:00. And though there was a fire ban in effect, most campers just ignored it and burned wood fires anyway. And then there were the flags and banners; “F… Biden and F… you if you voted for him”. Wonderful. No camp hosts; who in their right mind would volunteer at a place like this? Absolutely, totally out of control. Felt like we were at a Proud Boys event.

From Reedsport, Oregon, follow Highway 101 south for about 22 miles to the Horsfall Dunes and Beach road sign. Turn right onto Trans Pacific Lane and proceed for 1.1 miles to the intersection with Horsfall Beach Road. Turn right onto Horsfall Beach Road and proceed for 0.5 miles. At 0.5 miles, the entrance to the campground and day use area will be on the right.
From North Bend, Oregon, follow Highway 101 north for about 2 miles to the Horsfall Dunes and Beach road sign. Turn left onto Trans Pacific Lane and proceed for 1.1 miles to the intersection with Horsfall Beach Road. Turn right onto Horsfall Beach Road and proceed for 0.5 miles. Horsfall Sand Camping site is accessible via Highway 101, which is located approximately 22 miles from Reedsport to the south and about 2 miles to the north.

Arrival & departure
- Campsites in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area can only be reserved online or by phone through recreation.gov.
- Campsites must be occupied within 24 hours of arrival; otherwise, they will be released.
- For additional information, refer to the provided link about the Siuslaw National Forest.
Safety & rules
- Dune riders should be aware of safety hazards and follow riding safety tips to reduce incidents.
- Camping is limited to 14 days within a 30-day period across the entire Siuslaw National Forest.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite is limited to 2 vehicles.
Site types & loops
- Alcohol is prohibited in the off-road riding area.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; obtain it locally to prevent invasive species.
