We got in late, we ended up at the wrong campground and confused why the campground was closed only to later discover that there are two campgrounds with near identical names. Without cell service or sunlight we were unable to find our campsite.
I’m sure will try this site again, I was excited to stay here but apparently it wasn’t in the cards for us this trip.
Can yall label the sites A and B ?? We ended up driving 3 hours home instead of enjoying our last stop of the trip.

Lovely, low key, quiet campground. A number of sites have views of the lake, and there is an impressive grove of large trees. Very friendly and responsible campground host who keeps the place tidy.
My only beef is there is no method to pay at the campground upon arrival. One is REQUIRED to pay through recreation.gov—which means aggravation getting the internet working and an $8 additional fee.

I thought I was reserving a site along the river (like the picture shows), but instead ended up back in the woods.
My reservation said I was in site 014, but the post (next to the site) read R14.

There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |
