Ensure when reserving that you make sure of the name of the campsite. Just down the road on the left side is Taekenitch campground. The similar names make it difficult. Also the Google maps for Taekenitch landing will take you to the boat dock but it is also the campsite. It should really say that on Google maps.

First night had very noisy neighbors partied until almost 3 am. Kept 4 other camps awake. Several dogs off leash. Need a camp host to enforce park rules. Have been coming to park for over 35 years.

This little gem is a great alternative to the beach sites when the weather is cold. The lake is warm and the sites are decent really enjoy the solitude as it is much quieter than most State Parks. Beautiful trailhead across the road at the off- lake campground.

Very clean park, clean bathrooms, awesome camp host. Great fishing off the docks too!
Site #24 is kind of small, lots of tree roots, and a weird dip in the middle. But it was nice because it was tucked away from the other sites.

Had to change spots from 8 to 3 in order to have access to walk my kayak to the lake and weather was gloomy, but campground was great and the lake was super fun to kayak.

I have stayed at the campground more than once, and I will continue to do so when visiting the Coast. It is quiet, clean, and the bird watching is such a treat! We had a nice site overlooking the water and the grounds were clean and well-kept. Beautiful location!

Nice place but too wet to camp under trees and out of the sun. Seemed no likelyhood to dry out so I went north to Driftwood in hopes of open terrain.

This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |
