Great campground! We only stayed one night, but we enjoyed it very much.

We loved our trip to Tahkenitch campground. Our site was one of the most private since you had to walk up some stairs to your site from the parking spot.

We booked 2 sites with friends (site 1 and 2). The sites were a bit strange shaped and awfully close to 101. The firepit on site 2 was against a steep slope so we were unable to fully sit around it as a group. Other than that it was the better of the two sites. Site 1 was basically a sideways parking area with a pit. The tent space was smashed up against the parking area and a hillside or the alternative was to be in direct view of the bathrooms with no privacy. Not ideal.
The women's bathroom was closed due to who knows. The men's was doable, but not great. There was also a pit toilet down by the day hike parking lot. Overall, its a cool area of the Oregon coast with lots to explore and the lake is awesome. Next time, if we go back, we will look into booking a site on the other side of the campground which has less road noise.

Enjoyed our time here! Loved the site we had way in the back. There wasn’t a camp host, so thankfully we didn’t have any issues.
There’s only 1 bathroom at the beginning of the campground, but it was a quick walk.

We reserved for two nights on a busy-season weekend, only a few days prior. (It may have been the last space available for those two consecutive nights on the Oregon coast!) I think I rated it highly partly because we were so happy to have a campsite to reserve at all.
Tent sites looked like they had decent space for tents; our small camper loved our level parking pad. Some parking pads are not level; some tent sites are accessible via stairs.
The campground is simple and not recently improved. It's near U.S. 101, but road noise is surprisingly not troublesome in the night, There's one plumbed restroom building on the loop, and one vault restroom near the Tahkenitch Dunes Trailhead. Drinking water is easily available around the loop. Our Verizon phones had very little connection. The Dunes trail was pleasant, as far as we walked it. Lots of birds in camp, squirrels, a few rabbits. Mosquitoes were present, but not too bad.

I never stayed there
Friends stayed the night before and left. Said it was like a pull out off the highway. Spaces close together and some rude, sketchy people next door.
Got a 22$ refund but never used campground

Nice camping spots, unfortunately no camp host , and people were playing loud music late. Horrible mosquitos. But the campground is nice . Big fire pit.

I was extremely disappointed about not being able to reach anyone on a online mistake. I stayed on the phone for a hour or more to get no answer. I reserved online and the reservation was not correct i ended up having to pay twice because of no one answering . First one was campground second one was landing i tryed to fix this and was unable to . I would like my money back for the confusion of campground vs landing i was with the host at landing and they helped me get into the correct area but i had to pay again before that could happen.
