What Guests Are Saying

Susan Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, spacious campsites, and excellent access to the Umpqua River for various outdoor activities. However, there were concerns about recent health issues related to water contamination and the absence of firewood sales, which disappointed some campers.

Tough to get a reservation at Susan Creek Campground during the summer because of it's popularity, but when we saw an opening on June 18th at our favorite campsite, we jumped on it! Unfortunately, the reservation I made was for the 19th, and when my girlfriend and I arrived a day early, the campsite still had vacationers in it. I spoke to the campground host Cresta, who said they had just had a cancellation on an adjacent site, and she instructed me on how to change my reservation. Problem solved! I've never had a bad experience camping at Susan Creek; clean restrooms, well maintained hiking trails, and considerate fellow campers. A great place to stay!

My favorite campground. Sites are private, clean, and beautiful- especially those in the 20’s. Camp host was helpful, and the restrooms clean and well stocked. Sadly, some of the surrounding areas are burned. However, Wolf Creek falls out of Glide is a nice easy hike, and not burned over.

My husband and I really enjoyed Susan Creek Campground; it was quiet, well taken care of by the hosts and the hosts themselves were wonderful and helpful in finding places to hike and visit. It was wonderful, having the natural sound of the Umpqua Creek next to the campground, I would recommend this campground to anyone who is looking for a peaceful little get away.
