What Guests Are Saying
Susan Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, spacious campsites, and excellent access to the Umpqua River for various outdoor activities. However, there were concerns about recent health issues related to water contamination and the absence of firewood sales, which disappointed some campers.

Nice campsite, but the reservation system is flawed and the site that I reserved was occupied by someone else.

Tried three different camp sites at this location. All three times they were clean and ready for us. Camp host was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. Spent time on several different hiking trails and time in the water though the water was a bit cool.

A gorgeous spot, with river and hikes right from the campground. No need to drive anywhere.

Wonderful riverview campsite. Noisy locals in site two and three next to me celebrating a birthday and drinking a lot of alcohol. This went on well until after midnight for the two nights I was there. Thank god I had earplugs. No host present in the evening/night time (they apparently where elsewhere for a family event). Toilets plugged in the ladies restrooms every morning -- not just one but all three of them.

This is a gem of a campground. It's gorgeous, very clean, almost looks landscaped with timbers separating the campsites with paving block around some of the fire pits and grills. We were in site #31, and had plenty of room for our small trailer and as a site for our family gathering. The river is fairly close with a nice stretch of wadable calm water towards the western end of the campground. The sites on the northern side were affected by a fire in 2020 and some vegetation is fire scarred, but they are still decent sites. We were drawn to the area by Crater Lake and we ended up switching to this campground to avoid the smoke from fires further west (August 2021). The air was generally clear, however Crater Lake was obscured by the smoke, so it was sort of a bummer. We would love to visit again, but would time it earlier in the year.

Amazing it survived the fires!
Good experience except a neighbor was playing his stereo like there was no one else there.
