I stayed here the last week in July 2021. I was shocked the BLM was permitting camp fires and actually selling wood. Daytime highs were in the mid 90's and the forest was extremely dry. No other government agencies in Oregon were permitting campground fires (Forest Service and State Parks) so why the BLM permits fires is irresponsible. I won't be going back until extreme fire danger passes. It's not safe while campfires are permitted.

N. Umpqua is beautiful. Swimming in the river was a treat. Campground was clean and peaceful in a beautiful setting. Didn’t understand why showers were not in operation. The only thing I would be careful about is picking casitas. Ours was opposite what a normal trailer campsite should be. But the beauty of this campground overshadowed it.
Hosts did a great job as campsites emptied.

The campground is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The bathrooms are nice and clean, with flush toilets. The showers were not available when we stayed there, so I cannot comment on their condition. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Each campsite is a good size, but I wished there was a little more space between neighbors. We only waded in the river; some members of our party swam a bit, but I'm sure others would go tubing or rafting.
