LePage Park is a pleasant spot for relaxation, offering beautiful river views, picnic areas, and clean facilities. Many visitors appreciated the friendly staff and the park's neatness, making it a great overnight stop with easy access to fishing and boating. However, some noted issues with maintenance, such as high noise levels, unkempt swimming areas, and limited privacy in certain campsites.

Your website was not very helpful, need to make it so us idiots can program a set date stay. Nice camp hosts, on our way back we were too late in booking a site. Nice area, could use a few more trees, although it was pleasant.

The shade trees have been removed and new trees re-planted. No shade for a few more years. The pit toilet was clean but needed to be pumped.

A great place to be if you're a fly fisherman who likes to rope a million smallmouth on poppers. The only problem can be the wind which may keep you off the water if it's hooting. When I was there, there was one day that I couldn't get out fishing (I'm on a Hobie i11s kayak) until the afternoon when it had calmed down a bit. It was hot in July but they provide electrical hook ups so I ran the a/c in my camper and drank cocktails. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to maximize your time on the water fishing. BTW the waterfront sites are HUGE.

Our site along the John Day river was great! Enjoyed our stay even though it was only overnight. We plan to make future reservations for a longer stay. Perfect location for our first night on our way to Montana. Easy to make reservations and personal were very helpful assisting us making our reservations.

We were next to the vault toliet boy did it smell. If you looking at a place where you boat and swim this is for you. Not much else. It is a cement slab with a "view" of the river and the interstate bridge. It was 104 degrees when we were there. No shade so we spent the whole time in the trailer or in the water. If you want to boat, swim or a place for the night this works. Clean restrooms.

We tried tent camping at an RV site. Wished we could have used the tent sites during the week. So sad the wind took out so many of the shade trees, mother nature has her way as usual.

We did not have a spot parallel with the water but the one we had was OK. The spots are a mottled close together but the whole cg is beautiful.

We were first in line for the FF (first come first serve) site, which should not have been rented prior to 8:00 am that morning. However the host decided to rent the site the day before to someone else. We stayed in the overflow area, and paid for the additional days, as we had one night previously booked in a space. The host was doing his daily duty of checking the permits in the parking lot and harassed us about not moving into that space for the one night. We have a motorhome and it didn't make sense to move into a space for one last night, so we stayed in the overflow area. Beware, host has a chip on his shoulder.
