No park host so no enforcing of rules. Neighboring campsites were partying and blasting music well past midnight every night. They also burned huge campfires while bans were in effect. Complete disrespect for others and for being in nature. No water available. Sites were good size and easy river access.

I remembered the vault toilets being pretty ripe so I brought spray this time. Next time I’ll bring one of those gel cone fresheners as site #11 sits downwind of the vault. The water here was amazing a bit of a rocky walk to get to swimming depth water but worth every step. There was a burn ban in effect so we settled for our propane fire pit. Having more than one water spigot would be nice hauling water was a several times a day chore. Most of the sites are sizeable enough for a couple of tents. Bring real bug spray not the eco friendly stuffs the bugs here laugh at that. Fellow campers were pleasant and courteous for the most part. Wishing I had brought a picker for collecting the liter we did find here and there up and down the river and campground parking lot. Glad I remembered to bring hand pruners as a couple paths were a bit overgrown. All in all a wonderful stay. We will be sure to visit again someday.

I have likes and dislikes about this places.
Likes: it’s shaded, helps with the high heat which was wonderful. It has a fire pit ring, a charcoal bbq, a picnic table, and a nice area to set up your tent. They kept the area clean which was awesome.
Cons:
Your site is right next to what seems like the only entrance to the creek. So constantly all day back and forth people are walking right next to your spot. People did not have their dogs leashed, so we had to constantly shoo them away from our dogs who are tied up in OUR campsite.
Also some people don’t mind, but we enjoy having our vehicle parked at our campsite. The unfortunate part was you had to park in a lot (most likely not near your site) and pack everything to and from. For car safety also we would rather have it parked next to us but to each their own.
Overall we had a nice time, there was a lot of nice people there. (Except the constant unleashed dogs going into not just ours but other peoples campsites without the owner anywhere near)

I made a same day reservation for this campsite when my evening plans were cancelled. I had previously stayed at (and loved) this campsite about a month or so earlier.
I packed up my car and drove the 1 1/4 hours out to my site only to find a campfire ban that was NOT reflected on Recreation.gov (which said and I screen shot “campfires allowed”). I consider a campfire to be one of if not the most essential part of my camping experience as I had also packed food to cook over the open flame. I understand that the state of Oregon has many places where a burn ban is in effect but I choose not to camp at those sites no matter how much I enjoy the campgrounds. Needless to say it was a huge waste of time and money to drive almost three hours there and back, not to mention a real disappointment to think my last camping experience before the rainy season was over before it begun.
I would like to receive a credit for my $23 out of principle or an opportunity to go back there “on the house” when the burn ban is lifted.

We arrived mid-week and did a FF with campsite 07. It was a wonderful spot that was close enough to the parking area and to the creek that set up and entertainment weren’t difficult. The area is very beautiful and creek was a great place for my toddler who wanted to spend hours throwing rocks into the water.
We did not use the bathrooms as the reviews weren’t great and you could smell them just walking by.
The road was busy with loud trucks but didn’t notice it once we were settled for the night.

I love the sites they are very hidden and good size spaces. Althiugh it is very dusty so it got very dirty. It would be nice if they had running water instead of a hand pump for water for doing dishes etc. My biggest complaint is for such a busy weekend being the 4th of july week the bathrooms ran out of toilet paper twice and the smell was rancid all the way to my sight. I gagged so bad trying to go to the bathroom i ripped lung tissue and my lunhs were raw and sore for days later.

It’s a good place, specially it being closed to home! But it can get over crowded with people going there for the river. Parking very limited.

When I arrived at site 12 I found human feces, toilet paper, dog feces, cigarette butts, a drink bottle, pistachio shells, bottle caps and pieces of trash all littered about. I cleaned up my site the best I could. Neighboring campers were exceeding 8 guests per site, were screaming, and were throwing fruit rinds and garbage on the ground. The pit toilets were also in need of care.
It’s too bad because without all the garbage and crowds of loud inconsiderate people, it would be a nice spot.
