Overall, the campground is well maintained and the camp sites are very nice. It is right on the Metolius river so getting into the river to go fishing is very easy with multiple great fishing access points. Fortunately, all the campers were very quiet during our time there, so made for a pleasant stay.
The privy on the other hand, was absolutely disgusting (at least the men's side). Someone had had an issue in there and so there was nasty, used toilet paper strewn about on the floor causing the place to smell worse than a normal privy. There was a separate port-a-potie sitting across from the permanently installed privies that was overflowing and also had nasty looking toilet paper all over on the floor. Not sure how often the FS gets into this camp to clean the toilets, but never saw one during the three days we were there. We just avoided these all together during our stay.

This place is beautiful and restful. We had a wonderful time. You can hike upriver to the hatchery or downriver to Candle Creek Campground. This place is mostly for fisherman. It is quite a ways to the Camp Sherman store area.

We love Lower Bridge Campground. We stayed in campsite #1 this time. Not much room for your vehicle. But, magnificent view of the Metolius River! We're eager to return. This was probably our 10th visit to Lower Bridge Campground over the years. Outstanding!

Great as always. The only thing that has not been resolved is the poor condition of the table. Some jerk put a flaming hot pan on the table and burned a big black hole. Previously I complained about other damage to the tabletop, It was resolved by moving the portion with the hole to a seating area,

Stayed in #4. Length to spare for my 23’ trailer and 17’ vehicle. One tree prevents use of awning but dense forest canopy provided all day shade. Forest canopy shades and limits solar to less than 50% and for portable solar you will need a 60-75’ cable. River bank gets full afternoon sun. Multiple trees accommodate hammocks with 1 location near river. Also, a nice grassy spot by water to sit in chairs and relax. Great location to get away from the cellular umbilical cord; but if need to checkin, just drive up NF-1490 1-2 miles for 2 bars LTE on Verizon enough to make calls and send/receive data.
