What Guests Are Saying
Cape Perpetua campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, including well-maintained bathrooms and friendly hosts. Many campers appreciate the proximity to stunning hiking trails and the peaceful sound of a nearby creek. However, some sites lack privacy, are not level, and can be affected by noise from the road and neighboring campers. Overall, it's a favorite spot for those looking to enjoy the Oregon Coast.

The Campground is easy to find, right off 101. The campgrounds are clean and nice, but VERY close together, we were lucky and had nobody to either side of us but if we did there would be no room. We didnβt realize Cape Perpetua is high in elevation so really no beach access, there is one across the highway called Cove beach but only good if the tide is out and you have to hike down a ways and over moving drift wood to get there. There is a very cool rock shelter if you drive up to the day use area side that over looks the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see, really beautiful! About 20 minutes away is the Sea lion caves which is pretty cool, and also Heceta Head Lighthouse. Overall it was a good stay, I donβt think I will come back just because of the campsite layouts. Definitely needs to be spaced apart more.

Campsites have no foliage in between campsites. Itβs like camping with the people you are right next to. No cell phone service. Very quiet, meaning you can hear everyone around you

Thereβs quite a bit to see, especially along the coast, and the campground is restful.

Excellent location just about a half mile walk to cape perpetua and less than 10 minutes from the charming seaside town of Yachats. I was pleasantly surprised to have bathrooms with running water and flush toilets. Sites are well maintained, but somewhat close together.

Beautiful location, hiking trails accessible from the campsite, a seemingly micro-climate with more clouds and rainy in spring time than other coastal locations nearby, but I find that perfectly good π.

A very lovely area with some nice, easy trails including one that takes you to a HUGE Sitka spruce. The tide pooling is also very good here. The bathrooms are clean and the visitor center, which is still closed due to COVID, looks very good. Our site (29) had some slope to it and was close to other campsites, but no one was camped near us and the creek sounded wonderful. The tent sites look especially fantastic here, most in secluded spots.

Camp guests were all well behaved. Bathrooms were kept impeccably clean. Easy to access. Do not expect to have cellular coverage in the canyon.
