I don’t know if there’s a leash rule for dogs or not, but if so, it should be enforced. Our neighbors had 4 dogs that would run free, pee on our stuff, fight with each other, and just bark all the time. We couldn’t even let our dogs on their leashes to walk and feel safe. We did complain to one of the rangers, but nothing changed. She did not do a thing about it. I love that it’s a dog friendly place, but there should just be more respect from the guests towards other guests. We asked them to please leash their dogs several times. They were rude about it and did not do it. Those people would also walk right through our site constantly to visit people at other sites. It was the worst experience we have had yet. We usually really like visiting the island.

Very quiet 4th of July at Nancy's. Which made it very nice for a full campground.

DO NOT book this spot on a holiday weekend if you have children. we had the absolute worst camping experience to date. the location is cheap. and because of that, it was very VERY busy. our family was looking for a relaxing rustic weekend on the water. we were surrounded by drunk people, who were screaming until 3 AM. my husband went out to please ask them to he quiet at 2 AM, (quiet hours start at 10) and the man stood up like he was going to fight my husband. unfortunately this place is GORGEOUS, but due to its cheap price it brings in a really "rough" crowd. you're better off booking a place a little more expensive that actually has staff that will enforce quiet hours.
