We love camping at Tompkins. Our only wish is that the campground would stay open longer in the fall. It is a beautiful place to stay. The camp hosts are very friendly.

My site was completely in the sun. With temps at 80+, there was no place to stay cool. Overall the sites here are very nice. The parking area is very small but the picnic area is a nice distance away. We have been coming to this park at least twice a year recently. Although I think check in is a little late, I enjoy the park overall. Bathroom facilities are kept clean and showers are nice. There is little room for a camper and 2 cars. So far the swimming area has not been opened. For sites around the area, there is mostly outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, boating and not much more but the town is a short distance away. It is a nice quiet camping area not an amusement area like so many campgrounds seem to be so if you’re looking to relax, this is perfect. There are limited playgrounds and horseshoe pits
The dumping station is not convenient as you have to leave the campground area and go back in to the camping area to get to dump station and I completely missed it but that’s because of my memory.
The price is right. We will be back.

The site I was in, Cove 74, was difficult to back into because of the ditches near it. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Large, level site. Disappointed that the grass had not been cut. It was long and needed mowed badly. Sewer hookup is in the wrong place for our camper, as well as most others I would think, and ran uphill. We had to use the dump station.

Nicest campground in the Northeast. We actually love it there.

A great Campground with waterfront sites, secluded options. There are full hookup all the wat to Rustic sites. This is a no thrills Campground. Not a ton of amenities but what they do have is quiet, shade, and water. Boat parking and mooring are available. A small swimming area and playground are on site. Showers and laundry along with a fish cleaning station and fire wood available to purchase make this a perfect retreat for some quiet rest!!

We enjoy this campground and have been going here for years. Our biggest complaint is the fact you cannot get the internet. This campground is located in a no service area so you cannot get a weather forecast, ball scores or any internet.
