Camp hosts very pleasant, Bill was an excellent source of information on the fishing and lake. Thanks for keeping this area clean and quiet.

When making reservations, check the map. Sites on "The Cove" side on the right are on a hill and more difficult to back into....also have much more sun. Overall a terrific place and they have laundry!

I couldn't find the showers but it was a nice stay overall. Good for a night if you're just passing through. Might be nice for fishing but I wouldn't know. Beautiful view of the sunrise though.

Had some lack of enough electric one time. Other than that it was great. Only thing is that it closed on labor day weekend. It used to be open until the end of September. Wondering why it cant go back to that. The weather is still good at that time. I wish it would. We are there all summer. Have to go someplace else to finish out the season. Ives Run is open until Mid October. 6 weeks later. Not fair.

The walk in sites are beautiful and relatively secluded. There were a few issues that mitigated our enjoyment of the camp. Potable water was only obtainable from the campground that hosts RV's. The only tap in that RV section was not working, so we had to go to either the fish cleaning station or find an empty RV site to get drinkable water. There is a pump in the walk in site but it says not potable, not for cooking, not for cleaning. What's left??? The road across the lake ends up being very noisy day and night, and the sound travels across the lake easily. We found it to be like camping near a highway. The last issue was a little weird. A night fishing boat kept us up half the night with super bright stadium lights. No joke, it was probably a mile away on the other side of the lake and it was casting bright shadows in our camp. Might have been a fluke, but this was a new one for us. On the weekend the lake is very busy. There are no HP restrictions, so you get the big boats tearing around. We were in our kayaks so had to keep vigilant, and got lots of roller coaster wake action which can be fun, but it is not a quiet lake on weekends in good weather. The campground people were great, friendly and helpful, and the bathroom at the RV site was very clean. We are veteran campers and not particularly picky, having done our share of backcountry camping, but the previous issues will probably keep us from returning.

Had problems with my company, I left after 2 day, deposited my orange card in check out box. I tried to contact online to let recreation.com know I was leaving early, and requested my refund to be applied back to my car that I purchased my stay on.... this was two weeks ago I have yet to get any response...

Great camping spot with plenty of room for our tents, truck & trailer! We’re able to bring kayaks right to the water off of our campsite to conveniently enjoy throughout our stay. A fire pit with grate for cooking and picnic table made meals a breeze! Restrooms and playground very close by were a plus! Facilities were clean and functioned well! Will definitely be coming back next year! Thank you Tompkins Campground staff!
