What Guests Are Saying
Tompkins Campground offers spacious, clean sites with friendly staff, making it a favorite for families and returning visitors. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lake for paddling, and well-maintained bathrooms contribute to a positive experience. While some areas could benefit from upgrades, many campers appreciate the reasonable prices and the campground's recent extension into the fall season.

Tompkins is a clean campground and staff are friendly. We enjoyed a kayak adventure in Cowanesque Lake and a nice bike ride on nearby pine Valley Creek trail. The creek by the trail looks to be good kayaking and fishing. Another day we traveled to Wellsboro for delicious Balsamic vinegar. A nice and relaxing experience.

No direction when you try to check in. Thought I rented a full hookup site but didn’t have sewer hookup. Asked to move to a site that had full hookup and was refused and while the site I wanted to move to remained vacant. Reason for not allowing me was because someone MIGHT come in off the road and want it while half the campground was empty. I was very disappointed with my stay this time.

Overall the park is very nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the grass hadn’t been cut for the week I was there and there was a lot of debris on the boat landing that I feel the staff there should have cleaned up
