Kittatinny's River Beach Campground

Our family went tubing with Kittatiny - Westfall to Riverbeach in Milford, PA on 7/15/2026. We had a wonderful experience. Nice & efficient staff, great location, sufficient amenities, and gorgeous setting. Prices were very reasonable pp as well! We had a fabulous time on the Delaware River! If you’re looking for a campsite that is more for large party groups versus quiet nature, then this is your spot.

It should also be noted the location is DIRECTLY off the highway and you can hear cars 24/7. The pictures of the camp spots are general and not specific to where you’d stay, so you can’t go by that either. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They were able to accommodate us to move because the road sounds were really bad. They also come by often to collect trash bags, which was nice.

The river is incredible and scenic. I’d go back for that, but not for the camping. It says no speakers but quite literally everyone was blasting music. One area was screaming and and playing music until 5:30am. Literally. There isn’t a staff number to call for late night issues, so we had to tell them the next day.

Camp sites not very well marked so it is hard to see where your area starts and stops. And you are DIRECTLY next to someone. Like on top of them, so just note that!

Unfortunately, we were not able to participate in any of the water activities besides just going In the water because we had a young child with us, and there was a weight minimum of 30lbs. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the website, so we were bummed. But I get it.

Overall, not our vibe, but the big groups were having a blast and I could see how this could be a great spot for the party camp scene. The road noise is a big pass for me

My girlfriend and I booked a night here last weekend as a practice run for a camping trip we have coming up in another month. It had been a while for both of us but we’ve decided this is going to be our thing.

The only reasons this gets the points it did are 1) the canoe trip was very smooth and the guys that took us up river and got us situated were nice and somewhat knowledgeable; 2) the store has everything, bathrooms were clean, and the staff were nice.

But overall we wouldn’t repeat here. The place is just way too close to the highway and even though our particular site wasn’t on the edge, the frequent passing cars and trucks going by and engine braking at all hours were loud enough to pierce through my industrial earplugs and keep me up.

And even worse, there were groups that were out of control and zero enforcement of any quiet hours or rules about disturbing others. I am talking about groups that are rowdy enough that walking over and asking them politely to quiet down is just not an option. After multiple complaints to the staff, nothing changed. I don’t think anyone even went out there to say anything. Loud music and kids running around and screaming until after midnight. Not what I was expecting.

Maybe this is the scene they are ok with and marketing for here. I wish we read some reviews beforehand. It was a recommendation from someone who stayed here a few years ago.

Bottom line, if you want quiet camping this is not your place. If you don’t care about noisy crowds and roads it’s workable. Boat trips were fun.

This was enjoyable place back in the days. We used to have overall good camping and river trip experience a decade ago. It's your responsibility to review location map because some sites are too close to the road. Admitting on weekends this place gets crowded and quiet hours are not enforced as much as they should. As new management took over, prices went up and service went down. I booked a memorial day stay at camp site in 2021 and closer to the date forecast was to be rain for 3 days straight with lower temperatures between 50 and 60. Everything was prepaid with no refunds -I begged manager over the phone to allow us to reschedule, and they promised to do this as one time exception. I rebooked 2 night stay for a different week. After arrival we wanted to extend for one extra day but they
could not locate our credit for the 3rd night we paid originally, so we lost $ and never went back since then. I prefer places with more flexible terms and more affordable rates. Overnight camp accommodations include picnic table , fire ring, and bare piece of land. For what they charge per site currently you can find a hotel with breakfast and possibly even a pool, and not worry about all camping gear.

We needed a place to use as basecamp while hiking the Appalachian Trail, and the River Beach Campground fit the bill perfectly. The location is ideal, getting us within 1.5 hours of trailheads from mid-way in Pa, through NJ, NY and right into Connecticut. Plus, it borders the Delaware Water Gap National Scenic Area, as well as numerous historic areas. We were barely half an hour from the NJ High Point Monument and minutes from the Tri-state marker. There's shopping in Matamoras and dining in Milford. The campground itself is really well maintained. Each site is cleaned when a guest moves on and the bathhouse is clean with good hot water and pressure. The store looks like Bass Pro Shops, stocked with things you need, as well as things you want. The staff is terrific, very professional and responsive. They even accepted our Amazon deliveries for us. We are traveling in a small camper, so prefer the upper campsites near the office, but see that tenters are usually placed in the lower level of the campground, where the road noise from nearby I-84 is less noticeable. All sites have shade. We had a great view of the river and appreciate the layout which gives each camper plenty of room. Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat.
