What Guests Are Saying
East Branch Campground offers a peaceful and clean environment, perfect for relaxation and enjoying nature, with stunning views and a large lake for boating and fishing. Visitors appreciate the campground's remote location, friendly staff, and engaging activities for families, such as the exploratory building run by knowledgeable Army Corps workers. While some amenities, like a playground and improved dump station access, could be enhanced, many campers express their intention to return for another restful stay.

The campground is nice. Quiet and nicely shaded. I stayed in a cabin and that left a little to be desired. Very small as compared to other cabins in other state parks I’ve stayed in. Needed some hooks to hang stuff on in the worst way. I handy to get to the bathrooms. Not a bad place at all!

The lake was amazing. The cabins were also fantastic. It would have been nice to have the bathrooms closer and to find a way to screen the bugs away from the lights. The camping area was very dark, possibly adding a few more lights might have also helped the experience. A few additional areas for water might also be nice.

This wasn't the usual COE campground, but in a good way. Very happy we camped there as it was just being opened for the season as we needed to switch sites for better bathroom access and we were able to do so. Rangers were very accommodating as the CG itself was not yet staffed. Bathrooms were in excellent and clean condition. We were just there for one night but very much enjoyed the solitude and shade. We checked out the sites up on top and were quite impressed with their size and accessibility given how small the CG is. I can see this CG's allure for folks who want to fish the lake.

Clean facilities, very quiet, beautiful lake, rangers were very helpful and friendly. Sites, from what we saw, were level and easy to access.
