What Guests Are Saying
Longleaf Campground offers a clean, spacious, and peaceful environment with well-maintained facilities and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the short walk to the visitor center for amenities and the charming wildlife experience, including birds and other animals. However, it's important to note that there is no running water at the campground, and some sites may lack privacy due to proximity to others.

Peaceful, clean, fishing, camping, trekking and cook in the firewood. My dog loved the place.

Campground was great and pretty quiet! Vault toilet was clean and well stocked with toilet paper/hand sanitizer. Unexpected bonus was a solar-powered charging station. The sites are not unusually close together, but there is little vegetation between them so you can really see your neighbors. Great hikes and great canoeing.

I stayed here the first weekend in April, and our site (02) completely flooded after a storm. This site was the only one that wasn’t raised on a platform of some kind. Therefore, only ours flooded. The campfire ring was half barried, and the restrooms had seen better days. If you are willing to rough it, this site is pretty and a quiet place to experience Congaree National Park.

We really liked this campsite! We usually tent camp so not having big campers/RV's around was really nice. Plus the sites are secluded enough in the woods so you don't see your neighbors all the time. The only thing we didn't like was that we arrived after dark and the signs weren't super clear where to go for our site, but we did eventually find it. Otherwise this was a great place to stay!

This is a great spot for car camping. It's close to an excellent "boardwalk" hike through Congaree National Park swamp. Be Sure to bring your own water as there is no potable source near the campsite.
