Longleaf Campground offers a clean, spacious, and peaceful environment with well-maintained facilities and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the short walk to the visitor center for amenities and the charming wildlife experience, including birds and other animals. We absolutely love camping here! We prefer to camp here in the winter to avoid bugs and people but that often means the potable water facet is turned off. Can’t wait to be back!!

The experience would have been great except somebody turned the heat off. That in itself was not all bad, but I was camping with southern boys in a Boy Scout troop. We had plenty of locally procured kiln-dried firewood to last us for the two nights we stayed there. One of the scouts couldn't sleep as he was too cold, and instead of adding a piece of wood or two to the fire pit, he added all of it to the fire pit at 2am. The light from said fire probably woke up all the other campers in the park. For that I apologize. I also apologize to the people of Middle-Earth, as they thought the beacons had been lit and Gondor was calling for aid again. Other than that, the park was beautiful, the maples had blossoms all over them, the green comet could be seen from the open area with powerful binoculars, and the bathrooms were very clean!

Such a quiet and pretty campground amid longleaf pines! We stayed three nights and there were virtually no one there!
Close to food in Gadsden (Dollar General) water at the visitsore center and an open flush-toilet bathroom (also at the visitor center)
I would highly recommend this campground

No check-in with anyone. Just show up and camp in your reserved spot. Great fire pit, flat ground, and all that you need to have a good experience. I plan to make many return trips. Great job!
