the campground was very clean and relaxing. We biked & walked around the roads which are paved. The mix of flat areas and hills make for an interesting trek. Our only issue was with the poison ivy which was around may sites, so we could not walk through the woods.

Hawe Creek is our favorite camping location. It is quiet, clean and beautiful. The sites are large and private and every one has a beautiful view! We kayak for hours on peaceful water. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. They are truly the best we have met at any campground. The only negative thing I can say about Hawe Creek is that it is not open year around. We long to experience fall and winter here.

We love camping at Hawe Creek, it is our #1 choice. We only wish you were open longer in the season so we didn't have to go somewhere else.

My visit was excellent and the attendants were surperb. The really do an excellent job of keeping the campgrounds clean and safe. They go above and beyond what you would expect from them. However,on that note, It would be much nicer if the campgrounds were open all year round and also 30/50 amp power boxes on the loop of 1 thru 34 campsites. Get off your duffs in the offices and make things happen. Don’t wait for the bean counters to say you can do it….Just tell the maintenance folks to do it and let the bean counters find the funds….Do your job and let them do theirs!!! Nough said!!
