Super quiet and large campsites. Plenty of shade on a hot day and easy access to the lake. We will be back.

This is my third trip to Hawe Creek. Each time I have found the campgrounds to be well cared for, the facilities spotless and the camp hosts and volunteers to be warm , welcoming and helpful.
The ONLY suggestion is that the campground closes to the public way too early in the season. For South Carolina, closing at the beginning of October doesn't make any sense... that is when the weather is the best! It could be open thru mid December without any risk of freezing. This campground is too wonderful not to be open for a lot longer than it is!!!

This is the best campground we have visited in many years. The sites are level, spacious, clean, quiet with most having water views. The camp hosts were genuinely friendly and extremely helpful. Bath houses were clean and well stocked.
