We really had a good time on this camping trip. My only complaint was that there is no boat access on the site we stayed on (site 4) and that there is poison ivy everywhere. It's like the Corp has decided not to improve any of the campsites at any campground. Wonderful campground hosts (Steve and Jennifer).

I have been camping at Hawe Creek since I was a kid. We moved to McCormick from Florida in 2016 and live less than 2 miles from this beautiful campground. We have already been twice this year. Beautiful sites right on Lake Thurmond, most sites you can pull your boat right up to. Very quiet and relaxing.

Clean campground. The hosts are continually cleaning the campsites. Large, level campsites. The hosts are very friendly. Just wish the government would provide more funding for the upkeep of their recreational facilities

The Volunteers were top shelf! And that is truly one of the best experiences I have had with camp staff. Sites were as private as any I have been to. Showers were clean and accessible. About the only thing that could be improved is extra toilet. Sometimes, especially on the weekend, had to wait almost a minute too long! Hah! And if you could control the weather that would be a plus!

Very nice camp attendance, very clean site. Power needs updating, keeps flashing off. Dead trees needs cutting down all though the sites.Great camping spot just needs a little updating.

The park was very clean. Steve and Jennifer along Michael and Susan made you feel welcome.
KEEP THE PARK OPEN THROUGH OCTOBER OR AT LEAST UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER LIKE IT USED TO BE.
