I loved the campground overall. We had a beautiful spot and I enjoyed it there very much. There were plenty of beautiful fishing spots as well as areas to walk.

Great place , great town. Not too much for kids except the lake so it's always quiet. We came 2 days after a MAJOR storm . Cleanup was still going on. They did a fantastic job for the limited man power they have available.

I've camped at the Hawe Creek facility for years. This is the first time that the main gate was locked with a keyed lock which prevented early morning fishing activities. During previous visits to the facility. the gate was either not locked or was locked with a combination lock and the combination was provided to the campers. I meet fellow fishermen at various locations on the lake or other lakes in the area. Can't get out of the park to meet up for an early morning trip because I can't get out of the park. In addition, my wife must park her vehicle outside the gate in order to be at work on time. I have to drive her to the gate so she can get to her car. Then I go back to the camper. I will have to investigate other nearby facilities to see if they are more accommodating to campers needs.
