What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

The campground is great, with spacious, tree filled sites and sits next to lake Sheridan. The problem we had was, Lake Sheridan is right next to Highway 385, which is under construction. The night we were there, the construction crew worked through the night, rebuilding the road. Our trailer was literally shaking from construction vibrations. Make sure that road construction is completed before your stay.

Clean campground. Unfortunately the road construction night shift was a bit loud for us tent campers. Also, no showers.

Our favorite campground hands down. Quiet, spacious, and beautiful. Park staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Scott and his puppy Kobee. Can't wait to come back.

A very lovely place to be. A Site with sea-view. We had a stay at the end of the season. We had a rented 30 feet RV. We enjoyed the silence an pure nature. A good stay if you visit the NP.
The only negative: only minimum mobile network an no wifi
The staff at the reception was very friendly an helpful.

Reserving a campsite is easy. The camp host was very nice and knowledgeable. My site was clean and level. The park was quiet and the sites had plenty of room between them. I had my dog with me and we had plenty of paved roads to walk on.

I camp with family members every September at Sheridan Lake in the Black Hills, SD. The campground is tidy and well managed and I always enjoy my time there. It would be lovely if the parks service could see their way to install showers throughout the grounds.
