What Guests Are Saying
Sheridan Lake offers great tent and RV camping with spacious, shaded sites and a beautiful lakeside location, perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The clean facilities and friendly hosts enhance the overall experience, despite some concerns about limited infrastructure and cellular service. While some campers noted noise from generators and construction, many found the setting peaceful and enjoyable, making it a desirable spot for future visits.

Beautiful campground! We were in Chipper loop which was very quiet and unpopulated. (There was a large summer camp group on another loop that was loud and teeming with kids.)
Spacious site for tent and RV. Clean restrooms.
Didn’t engage with the camp hosts at all, they seemed to keep to themselves.
Close enough to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and Deadwood if you want a day trip.
Highly recommend this campground.

The campground hosts take great care of the campground, bathrooms and their guests. Will book here again for next summers vacation.

Great site, good weather, couldn't have been better. I noticed a service draining a neighboring unit's black tank. Is this a local company that campers could hire? If so, please mention their contact number.

This campsite was a huge disappointment. There’s a reason they don’t have a photo of it on the listing. The campground itself was clean and overall great, but this specific campsite was on a large slope with hardly any even ground. The only spot to put your tent was in the parking spot. There is a flat portion at the top, but that is because it’s part of a trail that’s basically connected to the campsite. Additionally, the parking spot had no gravel so it was straight mud. Also, the fire ring is unusually close to the concrete bench, so if you have your own chairs to put up, you can really only put them on one side of the fire ring (still on a slope too). We had three nights booked at this site and ended up leaving early after the second.

Beautiful site on the lake. No mosquitoes, not sure why or what they did, but I don't care not a single big bite in 3 nights!

What an amazing place. The spots are clean and spacious; the vaults were clean and always stalked. The lake and it surroundings are picture perfect. We will definitely be back.
