I liked how quiet the location was. It was easy for me to bicycle to the trail, and on the road. I was happy with hikes in the area.

Lovely campground and campsite in the hills. Right on a beautiful lake with very little traffic.

From Hill City, take Deerfield Rd. (County Rt. 308/Forest Rt. 17) west for 15.1 miles to Whitetail Campground sign (Forest Rt.421). Turn right onto Rt. 421 and travel 0.9 miles to the campground.
