What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Pass Campground offers beautiful scenery and a perfect location for exploring the Badlands, with friendly campground hosts and clean, spacious sites that provide privacy. Guests enjoy excellent stargazing opportunities and convenient access to trails and facilities. However, some reviews mention outdated showers and occasional cleanliness issues in the bathrooms, as well as a lack of shade and privacy between sites. Overall, visitors appreciate the campground's charm and its proximity to the park's attractions.

The campgrounds were fine. Bathrooms were clean and convenient. Picnic table and wind shelter were a nice touch but it was so windy when we were there that we couldn't really use them. Not the fault of the campgrounds of course :-)

The campgrounds were not great, but a large part of that was due to weather. More importantly, be sure to sell propane connections that are actually compatible with the propane stoves you sell...
This is a pretty basic compatibility issue that was overlooked by your managers.

Loved our time here, though we got rocked twice in a row by insane storms. So if you’re camping in a tent, beware! The storms do not play. Such a beautiful location though. We could see for miles and miles across the prairie. The shade over the picnic table is brilliant, worked like a charm and also doubles as a great place to dry stuff. The coin showers were a little odd, never had to pay for a shower in a park before, but it mostly worked ok. The water stopped a min or so in and I had a panicked moment as I had no more quarters and was completely covered in soap… but it started up again so crisis averted. My husband says the men’s restroom was very hot, but the women’s was fine. The dumpster was overfull, but it was centrally located. Love that there was recycling on site. LOVED the dish sink, with HOT WATER!! I wish every campground had that. Would absolutely stay here again, even with the storms.

Nice, clean site, with ample room for our 6-person tent (with foyer). Extremely windy location since there's nothing to slow it down as it crosses the valley.
The picnic table had a built-in shade that was much needed. The only sites that had trees for shade were the ones on the south edge.
Dishwash station was great. Restrooms were clean. We did not use the shower facilities, so I have no feedback there.
Cedar Pass Cafe and the gift shop were great for meals and treats.
Ranger program at 9pm was interesting and engaging. They talked about the night sky and brought out telescopes to see the full moon.
This is a great campsite to be nearby hiking trails and other sites to explore along the Badlands loop.

This campsite was great. There was plenty of level ground for a tent. It backs up to a nice grassy area with tons of birds and a creek. I did not go down to the creek, but I could hear it. Bathrooms were close and parking was on site. There is a restaurant nearby as well.
