Camp hosts Brenda and Gloria were esp. personable, attentive, efficient. They effectively handled problem of camp neighbors with barking, howling dogs. Cottonwood is our first choice of camping when in that area.

Cottonwood is a nice federal camping area. Disc golf next door and a beautiful biking and walking trail around the lake. Of course the fishing is good depending on the season. You will enjoy camping here. The bathrooms were clean and the grounds were kept up nicely. If you have a long rig 35 to 40 feet be sure to check the length of the campsite. Some are short and a few are a little tight to get into. Most sites are very good. Only downside was we had two fishing rigs stolen that were left under our camper on our first night. So sad to say leave things out at your own risk.

Great location. Our site (57P) was level, pull through and next to the water. We will be back to kayak and bike when the weather is better

This is one of our favorite campgrounds to visit. We go every year. Extremely clean and well kept shower houses.

We were not able to utilize our reservation. Our site (#40) was occupied when we arrived. It was 4 PM when we entered the Campground and an unoccupied Class A Mottorhome was in our site.
We asked other guests if there was a Camp Host available. They didn't know.
We drove through the campground (pulling our 36' 5th Wheel) looking for Simone in charge but we were unsuccessful.
Frustrated and angry, we left. We lost our $20 dollar fee. Stayed at Yankton KOA instead.
This was our first experience with an Army Corps Of Engineers Campground. What a complete disappointment.
