Campsites are always clean, bathroom are always clean camp hosts are friendly and very helpful. The bathrooms are very humid and people with breathing problems can not shower in them. maybe it would be nice to have a horseshoe pit. All in all if you leave it like it is it is still a very nice campground. The one bathroom could use a little improvement the floors in the showers are not very nice they get real slick real fast.

Other than being a hot July 4th weekend. It was a great area! Nice view of the lake. It was quiet. The Bathrooms were super clean. The water pressure and hot water available were better than my RV. No WiFi but the Verizon Hotspot worked great for internet connection. The campgrounds and spots were clean and kept up. It would be awesome if they had full hookups.

Beautiful spot right below the dam on the shore of Yankton Lake. Yankton Lake is sheltered water perfect for family fishing and kayaking or canoeing.

As a small dog owner we pick up poop on walks and at the camp site…
Upon arrival we spent the first 20 minutes picking up 4 bags of dog poop from the last folks. Please remind folks to clean up!

Cottonwood was an excellent stop for us. Though nearly completely full it was very quiet. Our spot, right on the water was excellent. And the kids fishing from the shore in front of us gave us hours of enjoyment.

A lot of construction going on around the Cottonwood RV Park unit. Much dust flying everywhere.Hope it will end soon. My wife and I have filled out the response cards for recommendations of the park and are getting quite tired of mentioning to fill the "potholes" throughout the park roads, since 2018. David, the so-called park manager is a very, very lazy person. Don't know where he hides, but rarely see him throughout the park. He repeatedly tells everyone he is the person responsible for all the improvements, etc., etc. They why doesn't he apply himself and follow our recommendations. We had to ask him to trim some trees in Site #41 in 2020 as they were scratching the roof on our fifth-wheel RV as we were trying to back in. He asked if we wanted firewood and drove off leaving us with a mess of branches to clean up. We are the park's customers... not the workers. Chichen screen around newly planted screens (they must repel the rabbits or something). The only probem is... the trees are growing into the chicken screens. Good luck cutting them out, now. What a lazy bumb! This park needs a new manager.
