We stayed here one night and so far so good, it’s so loud from the birds… ahhh nature. We’re tent camping lot 40, which is okay. But where we set the tent up it’s rocky. But I notice on lot 39 it’s paved and has stairs going down to the Cumberland river.. when we arrived at 10 pm we didn’t see much, but this morning it looks very clean. Check in was very easy. There is a man in RV at check in entrance. That directed us to our spot cause thats the only negative, you can’t see the numbers well. But overall our mini stay it was great. Didn’t catch any fish though. They have a bathhouse and a park for kids and a volleyball net. Also you have to reserve a spot at recreation.gov. It was $24 a night.

Shaun and Pam are wonderful hosts. They were very attentive to the things that needed attention when opening the campground for the season. Bathhouse is clean and does the job but needs updating. We camp here every year. Love it

The campground is beautiful and well-maintained. We loved that all the sites were so roomy, lots of trees, and paved driveways. We also loved watching all the barges go by every day. Our favorite campgrounds are the COE, and this one did not disappoint. Staff was also very friendly.

Wonderful place to ride bicycles. Very friendly workers. Very clean campground beautiful view, even if you’re not on the water side. Would give the bathhouse an 6 out of 10- they are clean, hot water, just outdated and would need to be careful if balance was a concern.
