Wonderful place to ride bicycles. Very friendly workers. Very clean campground beautiful view, even if you’re not on the water side. Would give the bathhouse an 6 out of 10- they are clean, hot water, just outdated and would need to be careful if balance was a concern.

Love the shaded, level campsites! Fantastic campground for bike riding and just relaxing. Short distance for us from home and offers a chance to get away from the noise and unwind.

I had three nights reserved at my favorite site and had a great setup including a new canopy I had purchased to cover the table (a definite plus), and the first night was rainy and chilly, but some sun broke out a few minutes during the second day. The weather was pretty blustery, but I was prepared to stay the second night until a late afternoon weather app (Ventusky) check predicted a concerning pattern: It was going to rain, then rain some more, then pour down for hours with 100% chance of rain. I'm a retired old guy and I agonized for an hour or so about it, but finally decided to bail, primarily because it increasingly looked like if I stayed, I would be breaking down my tent camp in pouring rain. Not an attractive option. I went ahead and broke things down and packed them up, then sat in a camp chair by the fire until the increasingly heavy drizzle had doused it. Glad for the decision but missed the rest of the trip, and of course look back to the next one. The place is a magical one, the resident management is personable and helpful but not at all intrusive, and it's quiet and clean. My favorite pastime there is to sit in my camp chair and watch the light change on the surroundings, including a lazy section of the mighty Cumberland River. The adjacent trail is closed for bridge repairs and I look foward to its return to accessibility for hikes!

If you like country music Nashville close by the fall foliage creates a nice scenic drive and the campsites are very nice and clean.

We had a great time and this spot in particular was great for us as tent campers with stairs down to the water.

First time visit to Lock-A campground and I will come again. The campground was clean and well maintained. I had a tent site and was surprised to see concrete slabs or maybe just my site (39), but the view far out weighed the slab
