What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, are noted as outdated and in need of upgrades, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

We go here several times a year as it is always an enjoyable experience. The campsites are large and always clean and trimmed. There is plenty of hiking and bike riding areas for entertainment or you can just sit outside and watch the river barge traffic sail by. Bathhouse is always clean and easily accessible. Campground host always meets you and is available. All around great camping experience.

Very clean, level camping. Great place for the kids to play and ride bike. Great adult bike riding and walking trails that connect to the campground. Looking forward to our next trip there.

Very nice campground. Host very nice. The downside of the visit was, we arrived on a Tuesday. The trash can were not emptied until Friday and there is no dumpster for you to put it in yourself. Trash cans again emptied on Saturday . Why 2 days back to back and then 5 days between? They need a dumpster.

Bring your snorkel to check out the springs. The water was a little cool, but you get used to it. The water was crystal clear, so you can see the blue crabs and the fish.

Lock A campground is quiet with sites that are big enough that you actually have room around you. Watching the barges go up and down the river makes it a different kind of place, and the host is great just like family.
