What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, are noted as outdated and in need of upgrades, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

My camp site was next to the Cumberland river. It had an excellent view. The showers were hot and the restrooms were clean. The campground looked well maintained.

Beautiful campground. Very nice sites, but they were not clean. Lots of trash on the ground and in the fire pit.

The location is amazing but was dampened by a large political flag at an adjacent camp site. Even if it had been for a candidate or party we supported, we don't think that is appropriate for a campground where others share common space and interests. We will return for sure but hope campgrounds make an effort to discourage expressions that are known to divide our civilization. Our experience was still positive but could have been much better.

If you arrive at a late hour the gate may be 'down'. Just move it away from you so as to enter campground

We stayed in site 5 across from playground. Very large site with good distance between neighbor campers. Enjoyed fishing and caught small fish...small store just before entering Lock A area sells bait. Bathhouse very nice, has basketball court and horseshoe pits and picnic pavallion near bathhouse. Bring your own horseshoes. Warning --- the road going into the campgrounds is a very steep and curvey so be prepared. Cheatham Dam very short drive from campground.
