What Guests Are Saying
Lock A campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. The spacious campsites, beautiful views of the Cumberland River, and opportunities for biking and relaxing are significant highlights. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, are noted as outdated and in need of upgrades, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Army Corps of Engineers parks are the best managed, most enjoyable parks hands down! We stay almost exclusively at these parks. Lock A is beautiful, right on the Cumberland, so you can watch the barges go by.

Campground is great however boat ramps for larger boats are a problem, ramp at campground is not able to accommodate my 24’ tri toon. So I use the ramp closer to lock A, well the water level had dropped quite a bit and when taking my boat out the ramp wasn’t long enough and the trailer dropped off the end of the ramp resulting in damaging my trailer which will most likely results in me having to buy a new trailer

This campground was amazing! We will be back! The woman with gray hair (I wish I caught her name) was super helpful, kind, and the first night I was there ensured my electricity was working properly. The campground was clean, friendly, and it's now my favorite spot. My daughter had so much fun playing with all of the other kids on the playground and they taught her how to ride her bike without training wheels for the first time. It felt like a community but you also had your own private quiet space on the beautiful river. Can't wait to go again!

Had a great time! Restrooms were clean! Staff was friendly! We were right on the water so we fished all day. And left one in for catfish all night. Will be back!
