Great spot for our first trip in our pop-up camper! The only downside was the traffic you could hear. It was great to be able to bike over to the Whitewater Center.

Its a nice campground but its too close to hwy 64, i was woke up several times through the night by big trucks using jake brakes and loud cars. Also theres no privacy, the campsites are all real close to each other and everyone can see what everyone else is doing.

Clean facilities, friendly staff, and quiet nights next to the river. Close access to hiking, rafting, zip lining, and much more.

Started a weekend backpack on the Benton Mackaye after camping here. Arrived late and took out early. Thunder Rock was the perfect a place to stay to kick off the adventure. The water levels were pretty high when I was there. If your planning in experiencing the river check on the expected flows for your trip.
