Campsites were pretty close together, but not horrible. Had several campers cut through mine to get to bathroom. Not sure how I missed the location on the map when reserving, but either way kind of rude behavior at the site at least for that reason. Little noisy after hours, but not horrible,
Thought it was weird that you couldn't purchase a parking pass on site. Was going to hike after checking out, but was told had to go to a grocery store to purchase. Not really sure I understand that, but if you plan on hiking after checking out, be aware of that issue.
Overall, good campground. Good hikes (Snake Den) out of the campground. Nice running water with really cool bridge if you make it up the mountain (about 1200 ft climb / 2.5 miles away from camp).

Would have been Excellent other than the military fly-overs…they were loud and disruptive! Ive camped at this campground several times over the past 8 years…sometimes multiple times a year and never experienced the flyovers before. Otherwise we love this calm peaceful campground with its manageable hiking trails. Perfect place to camp with kids.

Awesome campground, one of my favorites. Bathrooms have seen a substantial improvement since last year. Much cleaner and less bugs inside. There was a bear in the ground on one night of my start, but park officials did everything in their power to protect us and make us all feel safe

Great spot! Being close to the restrooms has its pros and cons but it was nice to know when the bathroom was empty.

It was the loudest campground with the most inconsiderable neighborhoods. There were few sites next to us with over 5 tents on each site; 2 cars and rv on one site or 3 cars per site and they were load. They were load all night, driving wrong way of the one way street. One guy took a short cut through the walking pass to save time to get to his site. Rangers did nothing, there is no limit on the number of cars, tents, people per site I guess.
