This campground is a hidden gem for the area! Our family decided it is our favorite campground in the park, out of the five we've camped at.

The campground was gorgeous set on a mountain. It was very peaceful. I recommend this campsite if you're looking for downtime away from it all.

The campsite quiet in a beautiful woodland setting. The camphost was friendly and informative. The restrooms were clean. The location near the Foothills Parkway was convenient for sunrise/sunset views.

The campground itself was fine, nice clean bathrooms. Some space in between sites but everything was very open. The night we stayed it was so loud, I think in part because everything is in a close vacinity and sound carries easily. Quiet time is not enforced at all, signage states quiet time is from 10pm-6am. At 10:50 and beyond kids were still screaming, parents yelling, dogs barking and music playing. This went on throughout the night as well, with numerous dogs barking for lengths of time, and a car alarm going off, people up with their kids and dogs at 4am dumping ice into a cooler. It's odd that we would be able to hear that anyway but we heard it loud and clear from a site 5 down from ours. Again it seems the sound carries here exceptionally well but at the same time people should make an effort to adhere to quiet time or it should be enforced. Much of the noise happening at night was completely avoidable, I get that kids cry overnight, not a problem, but allowing your kids to scream until late at night and then yelling at them in a much louder voice is not necessary, as well as walking your dogs in the morning and yelling at them right outside our tent when the dogs seemed to be behaving perfectly fine. The campground was fine, with clean bathrooms. People seem to have trouble understanding where to put their trash, we heard folks complaining that the bathroom trash was full as it was full of chick-fil-a takeout trash and the person mentioned was addinf additional camp trash that should have been placed in the provided bear proof trash receptivles located very close to the bathrooms. We spent a week traveling and staying at four different park campgrounds, this by far being our least favorite, mainly because of the other campers. I will also add that this was a Friday night so the campground was near capacity.
