Great campground. Very small, but a decent bathroom, a bear box located very close to the center of the facility. My only issue was riding the gravel road on my bicycle into the site and the lack of cell phone service.

The creek is beautiful. The campsites are just okay. Very close together, not a lot of tree coverage, no service, but running water in the bathroom and bear proof garbage.

Very nice campsite next to the creek. The campsite has shared bear box and flush toilet but no shower. It is far from main hiking trails of GSMNP but there are several trails next to the campsite.

A local was holding the spot with a clearly illegitimate reservation when we arrived (paper on res board with handwritten schedule). After an hour of waiting around the owners of the vehicles and tent showed up. They gave next to no resistance to my argument and moved all their things, finally ailing me to set up our kit and park in our reserved spot.
Later that evening (past ten pm) they parked in spot A01, as the reservation never showed up even though it was not their reserved site.
Definitely seems like this is probably a common problem at this campground with local campers.

Campsites are impossible to reserve, not sure if there's a lot of people or a few people reserving many spaces

Great quiet place off the beaten path. There are only 16 sites so it’s not super busy with people coming in and out. Love the creek sound when sleeping. Good quick hikes to adventure around.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've been to. Very quiet and peaceful, and the creek offers fishing or a refreshing dip to cool off. There are several trails in the campground, including one that will take you to Abram's Falls. Nearby Townsend has a few restaurants and tubing trips on Little River, as well as a main entrance to the park. If you're looking for a laid back camping experience, you can't beat Abram's Creek.
