What Guests Are Saying
Look Rock Campground offers a peaceful and clean camping experience with well-maintained facilities and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the availability of electric and water hookups at select sites, as well as the quiet atmosphere and opportunities for wildlife sightings, including bears. However, some amenities, like showers and reliable cell service, are lacking, and noise from nearby traffic can be a concern for some campers. Overall, it is a lovely spot for those seeking a tranquil getaway in nature.

Beautiful location with nice and clean bathrooms. The lady that was in charge of the campground during our stay for Memorial Day weekend was extremely kind and informative. Campground was not overly crowded and was very well kept. We will stay again the next time we are in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Look Rock is in a beautiful location on the Foothills Pkwy close to the NC/Tennessee border. Some of the most scenic views of the Smokies are on that parkway in that area. The campground is rather remote from the the towns so plan on a 25 minute drive for supplies. The campground has mostly tent camping sites with 10 or so sites with water and electric. Limited family activities at the campground for small children so plan accordingly for entertaining children. Cell service is very spotty. A nice retreat if that is what you are seeking.

The campground was secluded and relaxing.
The hosts were a very charming and helpful couple.
A bit disappointed that the host operated out of their camper and the new office building wasn’t opened. The office should be opened as soon as possible, this campground is a diamond in the rough.

Very peaceful. The campground was very clean as was the restrooms. It would be nice if they had showers. But I really enjoyed my stay there. Perfect "me time."

After ten years of disuse, the newly paved road is nice. The Park missed a chance to remake the camp grounds into something really good and up to date. We enjoyed the quiet. Traveled every day to somewhere else to see and experience the Smokies. Nothing at the campgrounds.
Way too much poison ivy, everywhere! Trial to tower unwalkable, Poison Ivy around the tower is dangerous, campsites surrounded by poison ivy. Really have to watch children.
No playground for kids.

Great campsite! Loved the vibe. Wooded and not too close to the other people camping. My site was a little far from the bathroom, but otherwise no complaints!
