Nice, shady, level camping spots in a wooded setting. The sites are not too close together. We brought approved firewood, but there was plenty of downed woody material for kindling, and even firewood if you don't mind some hatchet work. The picnic table was nice, not rough, warped, and splintered as we so often find. The water and electric for RVs were raised, so were easy to deal with while attaching. We only used the electric.
As expected in a NPS campground, cellular coverage was spotty, but with a nice fire going in the fire pit, and the quiet surroundings, we didn't miss it.
Restrooms were fine. Toilets and sinks only.

There’s is no road sign at turn off indicating where the campground is. There was a bolt that had come out at the table where our site was, so the table was wobbly. There were not many sites being used thru the week when we were there so I’m concerned about the toilets getting backed up. They don’t have enough suction power when flushed. Lastly whoever determined where the fire rings were to be placed didn’t use much thought as to where to place them. Some are to close to the tent sites and picnic tables. Also a lot of them are not at flat area where you have room to place camp chaires

The site #38 was okay. Need steps down to the table, why because short people have trouble crossing the gully made by the water coming down the hill. Please fix so that water can run under a wooden bridge or steps. Need to look at trees that are leaning over sites #37 for instant. If there happens to be high winds this could be dangerous. But overall the stay was good. I had to travel to work into Alcoa, took 15 minutes to get to bottom of mountain to 321. So that saying you don't have far to travel to go into Maryville, Townsend, or Wears Valley. We will be back if there is a site available.

The campsite itself was good. Heavy traffic noise from foothills parkway. Many vehicles driving through the campground that were obviously not campers. Apparently over flight path to Knoxville airport. Large planes as well as sightseeing helicopters flew over many times throughout the day. Way too much noise for me.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Look Rock. The facilities were clean and all of the people friendly. The only negative was there was no campground entrance sign and we passed by the first time. One thing every one should do is go up to the observation tower there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area from there.

Very clean and quiet. Our site, 58, was far from level but we managed anyway.

Site A-20 was sloped downward and uneven with lots of exposed tree roots which made it a bit tricky to walk around the site and had to be careful not to twist an ankle. Next time will choose a site with more level ground and walk- around access to the whole fire pit. The driveway could accommodate two cars only so if you have visitors then the third car must park by Look Rock Campground entrance.
