About Belton Lakeview Park

Belton Lakeview Park has two reservable group day-use areas along the lower shore of Belton Lake, providing some of the best fishing and boating in Central Texas. The facility is perched on a bluff overlooking Belton Lake and Dam, a year-round scenic location for group picnics and large gatherings. The site offers many amenities, such as flush toilets, water and electric hookups, a playground and a two-lane boat ramp, ensuring your stay is both comfortable and enjoyable. Belton Lake was created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the construction of Belton Dam in 1954. The 12,300-acre lake is located on the Leon River, just upstream of the confluence of the Leon River and the Little River.

The venue and the bathrooms were so neat and clean! Everything was organized well! It took the stress away from having to tidy things up! I’ve never seen a park so nice and clean! Everything operated well! There’s plenty of space for food, seating, and activities! The shade from the pavilion and the breeze from the lake make even hot days extremely comfortable to be in! We will definitely be booking here again!

Grass was over grown. Road to get to pavilion was blocked so we had to haul all of our stuff over a cable and down and around another fence so we had trouble getting my Grandmother to the party. The bathrooms were boarded up. Port-a-potty’s we’re disgusting. Several men sitting in cars alone just watching. Felt unsafe.

Arrived at location on my scheduled date and had someone setting up at my pavilion. I had to practically call the authorities to get them to vacate. I also had to clean the entire location because the party on the previous date had left a huge mess ! I spent two hours getting the place cleaned up ! The bathrooms near the facility were boarded up and the TWO porta toilets were overfull. It was a total disaster. The people in charge of upkeep and security were nowhere present. This was the worst experience my family has ever had at you facility. This location is in dire need of upgrading and not just the park but the staff as well !!!!!
