We always enjoy our stay at Live Oak. The sites are well taken care of and clean at arrival. Great location to Belton and Millers Springs for hiking.

The park is adjacent to a nice reservoir in Belton Lake. Park volunteers were available and helpful. The issue with the park is the space that is available for maneuvering an RV. It’s nice to have mature trees in an RV park. I prefer it. But there are so many trees very close to the roadways and the campsite. All of the sites are back in complicating even more. I originally had site 42 but could not get my 38ft 5th wheel in it due to the lack of space to maneuver. In fact I damaged the right front corner of my RV making contact with in of the trees along the road. The tree’s main trunk actually curves out over the roadway. All things considered, narrow road, many trees and an embankment on the right side of the road makes it impossible to get certain campers into some of the sites.

Amazing camping spot, with a good view of the lake and a very friendly vibe. It feels like camping in a nice neighborhood.
