This is one of our favorite parks. We grew up in south Texas but live in north Texas. This park is now pir preferred halfway overnight stop.
No matter is on duty, the hosts are always kind, conscientious, and a joy to interact with.

I reserved site 5. After I got there the circuit breaker tripped and would not reset. No one was at the gate and both camp hosts were off duty. I said the heck with it and moved to site 9 on my own. I tried to tell the camp host that was on duty the next day but even though the sign said on duty and there were vehicles parked in the drive, no one answered the door. I tried several times to no avail.

I go to Lake Belton Live Oak about 8 times a year. It's a great place! The people working there are friendly and ready to help you. I recommend this park to everyone to stay in.

We love staying at Live Oak. It is conveniently near town but still the lake campsite atmosphere. The campsites are always ready for us when we pull in.... nice and cleaned. Bathrooms are always clean. Nice walk to the lake.

This park is lovely and convenient. Unfortunately, there are no sites available for the week before Thanksgiving for our stay, and we've selected another location. The proximity of the boat ramp to the campground is excellent. All locations seem very accessible, and the ramp is quiet and very nice. It's fun riding my bicycle around the park, since it's pretty level and also includes a nice, flat entry area off of Hwy 317. The park is close enough to home to be able to run our RV and boat out there for a weekend. Staff at the park are extremely friendly and effective. A very nice stay.

Nice quiet one night stay on my way to Austin. Was able to see the stars at night and I had a back in sight that overlooked the lake. Only downfall was that there was just one shower and while it was clean, it could use some attention.
