This is the most well kept ACOE parks along the lakes between Temple and San Antonio. Still alot of cig butts but the hosts here and general condition of the camping spots is superior to Cedar Breaks, Cranes Mills, or parks along Stillhouse Hollow Lake/Lake Georgetown.
It would be great if the upper loop wasn't closed for the season given they have the best tree cover from the sun!

This was our first trip in our new-to-us Casita. We live locally and wanted to do a "check-out" trip for a couple of nights, but not too far from home. It's a lovely park. My Texas Master Naturalist Chapter volunteers there on brush clearing and invasive plant removal projects. The unmanned gate house was a little difficult for us. Since we are new to RV parks, it seemed inappropriate to go up to one of the Host RV porches and knock on the door to get questions answered - none were critical. Also, we loved the shade on our campsite, but realized after we got there that the image on the website was duplicated on several nearby pads, but our wasn't actually as represented. The picnic table was out in the sun quite a ways behind the camper pad, not next to it like in the photo. We enjoyed hiking at Miller Springs Nature Center right across the road - what a treasure! It was an enjoyable stay and a lovely park at Live Oak Ridge!
