Large, easy to back in site (#1) that I selected for its open sky for Dish satellite reception. Excellent choice. Pretty campground throughout with lots of shaded sites if that is your desire. Miller Springs Park is directly across from the campground entrance which has a great trail system that this runner certainly enjoyed. Easy to access dump station.

We loved our time at Live Oak. It was a great hub for visiting San Antonio, Austin and Waco. We enjoyed the local places as well. The bathrooms are not kept very clean, but the grounds are beautiful and pretty well kept. They would be better if they had sewer at the sites.
If you want a shaded site, be sure to stay in the campsites just to the right as you enter the park. They are completely shaded and it is a beautiful area of the park. We would have moved there, but they closed it due to budget constraints that shrink contracts in the fall, which is a perfect time to visit. Strange.

Nicely maintained other than bathrooms / showers. We stayed 6 nights and as far as we could tell, they were never cleaned. Trash was emptied a few times and toilet paper replaced.

I had made an error in reservations and the sweet couple helped me make a new one for the evening. They escorted me to my site. Very pleasant.
