About Westcliff

Westcliff Park is a day-use area and campground located on the southwestern shore of Belton Lake. The lake provides some of the best fishing and boating in Central Texas in addition to amenities such as a swimming beach, boat ramp, playground and picnic areas for RVs and tents, including four tent-only primitive sites. Belton Lake was created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the construction of Belton Dam in 1954. The 12,300-acre lake is located on the Leon River, just upstream of the confluence of the Leon River and the Little River. It is a long, narrow and winding lake with many curves and coves perfect for fishing.

The park was recently updated. Pull through spots very close to the lake. The Park host are very nice.
The bathrooms / shower stalls are clean. Great for Families with Kids and Grandkids. Reserve early, it is a smaller park.

The park was the most beautiful I've ever seen it, and we've been there many times over the years. And Westcliff is a great place to be for Independence Day. Thanks to the volunteers, rangers, and grounds keepers.

The sites on the hill are not sutable for Big Rigs like mine, it was very hard and almost impossible to park my rig. I ask to see if they could remove one of the wood barriers so i will be able to come out without scratching my rig but the answer was no. I do not understand why they didn't wanted to help me with my request and yet some of the barriers were removed before. It was a very simple thing to do, all they had to do was cut one off. I'm telling every retired military I know about this, and also i will put this on the social media for people to be advice of this kind of problem and so they know that the staff will not help.

The hosts do a really good job keeping the park looking good. I had several interactions with them and they are always pleasant. The park is one of my favorites. Spot 4 and up are best for swimming or fishing. 1,2 and 3 have a rock beach.
