My family stayed here for our first time last weekend at the RV park. We received the gate code after we made our reservation. The park is very nicely kept, the grass was mowed and the RV sites are easy to park. The RV hookups are very nice with 50A 30A and 110v receptacles. The bathrooms and showers were vey clean, and have plenty of HOT water.

We rode our bikes along the river road, and the tent sites are numerous and well kept too. It appeared that most of the tent sites have power boxes so you can plug in your essentials.

We stayed here so that we could spend a few days at Colorado Bend State Park, we were disappointed in the neglected state of the state park. Barefoot Fishing Camp was better maintained than the state park!

The owner of the park pulled up and chatted with us on our first and last day in the park. He gave us some history of the area and of the land the park is on. Nice guy!

This park has ACRES of land to explore and enjoy. There are well marked hiking trails that will take you to some gorgeous spots if you take the time to explore what they have to offer.

We spoke with some other campers that were there to fish, and our neighbor camper reeled in a catfish that was close to 20lbs.

My husband and I just rented the Leaning Bluff Lodge at Barefoot for the weekend for our Wedding it was absolutely amazing. Gennifer the owner was so accommodating and kind she was in communication with me the whole time and made sure every step of the way to make sure my Wedding at the lodge would be perfect! The place was beautiful and clean such a wonderful place to stay after years of also primitive tent camping at the campsites. I had so many compliments from guests saying how beautiful not only the views were but the lodge itself. Barefoot will forever hold a special place in our families heart and we will continue to come here plenty more times in the future! ♥️

Thank you, Micheal and Gennifer!! We had an amazing week at Barefoot. Padsites are level with plenty of length to park a couple of vehicles. Plenty of tent sites too. The bathhouse was cute and clean despite its age. River access was great, and there are plenty of hiking trails. We loved the proximity to Colorado Bend State Park. Recently added wifi was fantastic! The camp owners were friendly and very responsive. We highly recommend Barefoot and we will be back again!!

My friends and I had a wonderful time camping at Barefoot Camp and RV Park. The primitive campsites are spaced out so it doesn't feel like you are pushed up against your neighbor. The river is close and easy to get to. We also enjoyed seeing the cows and hiking a little on the property. Just a note for potential campers: There is no water pump at your site. They are truly primitive. Be sure to pack lots of drinking water! As long as you don't mind roughing it a bit (which is to be expected for primitive sites), this is a great place to pick.

Outstanding facility! Cannot recommend this place enough. What a great surprise! Our church just held our men’s retreat here, and it could have gone better. The views are outstanding and access to the river along with lots of availability for walking trails in exploration. Makes it really really wonderful. I’m attaching some pictures to check out, if you’re rock formation fan at all you probably want to check this place out. Really cool striations and formations along the river..
