This campsite was surrounded by beautiful mountains. There was a covered picnic table and bear box to store food. The site was not far from a convenience park store, restaurant,or gas. I was very pleased with my stay here.

Probably the best spot in the Chisos Basin Campground Area. Camping area is high above the others and offers an excellent view of the surrounding mountains and valley. If you are brining a trailer into the spot, regardless of the length, you WILL NEED a spotter due to the tightness of the parking area and the telephone pole guy wires. I would asses the spot before backing in. Also, when you do back a trailer in, come from the opposite direction, as the road is one way and use your spotter to guide you in. Coming from the opposite direction will make backing in much easier. Overall, it was a great spot, but it took a little bit to get backed in.

It was a fantastic trip which included a trip up to Emory Peak. The night sky was crystal clear and one of the most incredible sights given the darkness and lack of light pollution.
We shall be back.

Site is clean and quiet. Easy BBQ stove and nice table. Very close to restroom. The restroom is very clean. However, It is without shower.
When night falls, enjoy so many shining stars in the sky! So many!

This is a very good location that is located directly next to the Window Trail access and across from the bathrooms/dishwashing station. The bathrooms being so close is nice, but you do get people at night driving down to use them and the lights can be a little distracting. You can easily see the window from the camp and there's some boulders and trees providing lovely shade and shelter throughout the day. We didn't have any strong winds while we were there, but I imagine the rocks and trees would help cut down on some of the wind.

Best place to view the stars.
Cramped and undisturbed with lots of kids.

the campgrounds are very nice, well maintained, and clean. everyone at national park was friendly and helpful. some of the lots for camping are pretty close together. so, I recommend doing some research before you pick a spot to camp. on the plus side if you have more members in your group. you can get one of the spots right next to each other.

Really nice campground, conveniently located near all the Chisos Basin trails (especially Window Trail). Restrooms were clean, and adjacent to a room with a bigger sink for dishwashing. Beautiful mountain and night sky views!
